Safeguarding
We are committed to protecting the rights and interests of the people who benefit from the grants we make.
We believe that people should never experience any form of abuse, neglect or harm of any kind. We have a responsibility to promote the welfare and well-being of all groups and to contribute towards keeping them safe.
Additionally, we have a duty to ensure that any allegations of harm or abuse that take place in the projects we fund are investigated properly by grant holders and that appropriate measures are taken should such allegations be found to be true.
We are committed to do everything we can to protect people proportionate to our role as a funder.
Our safeguarding policy for applicants and grant holders sets out expectations for all our grant holders in the UK and overseas.
In England, we also funded (with DCMS) the Safeguarding Training Fund to support the sector in strengthening their own practice, through the development of resources and networks.
As an grant holder if you have any queries please contact your allocated Funding Officer/Manager or our advice line for applicants.
